Yarrah Estate is a privately owned land development on the banks of the Yass River, delivering 131 mixed use lots incorporating residential, senior living and a local activity centre.
D&N have been engaged throughout the project lifecycle from 2019, undertaken detailed geotechnical investigation on behalf of civil designer(s) and developers alike. Additionally, D&N were engaged as the Geotechnical Testing Authority during the bulk earthworks phase of the project.
Being immediately adjacent to the Yass River, the site is topographically, geologically and geotechnically complex. Both water affected soils and shallow bedrock resulted in many geotechnical issues to overcome to allow development to continue unhindered. D&N’s engineers were able to draw on local experience and develop solutions for the earthworks contractor to continue without pause.
