Our Canberra team is seeking a Graduate Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our growing environmental services division. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is enthusiastic about starting their career in geoscience and remediation services. You will work closely with experienced members of the D&N environment team to support the delivery of projects across ACT and NSW.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Graduate Environmental Scientist/Engineer, you will:
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of environmental support and monitoring projects.
  • Undertake fieldwork, including working alongside subcontractors to complete site investigations.
  • Learn to use a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment across soil, water, and air.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across D&N’s national team.
  • Actively develop your professional skills and competencies through on-the-job learning and mentoring.
  • Support project administration and uphold D&N’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental processes.

About You

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a degree in Earth Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Have a strong interest in fieldwork and a willingness to travel to regional locations for projects.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills, with emerging technical report-writing skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn industry software packages (e.g., Esdat, Gint).
  • Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence and have full working rights in Australia.
